A gentle soul, big heart, easy laugh, shirt off his back be there for you buddy. Bill "Willy J" and I met at Aiken around 1968 and shortly after began playing music together. We became a rythym section unit, he on bass and me on drums plus Ray Rissel, teen prodigy, on guitar. The 3 of us, plus others (Roy Stanton 71, Dave Freeman 73) banded together throughout our Aiken years and well beyond (Ray and I still play together in "Like Minds"). We miss you terribly and remember you beautifully, Godspeed Willy J.
