Dear Fellow Aiken ’71 Alum:

Our subject line, sadly, comes from the obituary of Tom Stark, our irrepressible math teacher. We had announced that Mr. Stark had planned to attend our reunion. It is with deep sadness that I bring word of Tom’s passing on July 28th.

I wish every one of you could have heard the verve, passion, and love in Tom’s voice when I spoke with him to extend the invitation he instantly accepted. It was vintage Mr. Stark.

We will miss him, and know that his spirit will be in the room with us. He was a man of deep Christian faith. May he rest in peace, and know how many lives he touched and rescued.
